Michael was 22 years old when he was out partying and drinking with mates. Life was good – filled with family, friends, study, work and sport. One moment in time, one miscalculation resulted in a 7 metre fall. Life was changed forever for Mick and his family by the resulting traumatic brain injury.
In his presentation Michael engages his audience as he tells “The injury destroyed my life. I was 2 months off completing my uni degree. I was going to be a PE teacher. But uni didn’t want me back, I was too injured.” Despite the seriousness of his acquired brain injury Michael emphasises the need to “always have a laugh. There is a humorous side to everything.”
