Headway ADP is a leading NDIS Provider and specialist, devoted exclusively to persons living with an Acquired Brain Injury. Our vision is to assist you in achieving your life goals, in your home and in the broader community.
Headway ADP was established in 1983 and has been providing specialist support services to people with an acquired brain injury for over 35 years. We provide individually tailored programs and group activities to support people with an acquired brain injury to live as independently as possible.
The program originally developed out of Lidcombe Head Injury Unit in response to a lack of services available for the person with acquired brain injury and their families, upon returning into the community. Successful transition into the community followed within a few years and in 1989, the purpose built Headway House was opened in Bankstown. In 1992 Headway ADP became an incorporated association.
The program structure has changed over the years from a respite based model to independent living training and then in 1998 a community access service.
Since 2016, Headway ADP has established its position as a specialist provider of NDIS Services to people living with an Acquired Brain Injury. Funding is received from the Federal Government through the National Disability Insurance Scheme, South West Sydney Local Health District and Individually funded packages.
Headway ADP is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act. Headway ADP has Deductible Gift Recipient status and is a Public Benevolent Institution. All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
